Q. What bag should I buy if I want to protect my products and keep them fresh? 

• Laminated bags

Q. What are the most common types of bags? 

• Laminate bags also called multi layer packaging  

• Polyethylene bags also called plastic bags, poly bags, PE bags and ziplock bags  

• Polypropylene bags also called polyprop bags, PP bags and super clear bags  

Q. What is the difference between laminated bags and other bags?  

• Laminate bags are made from a number of different layers laminated together. That’s why they are  sometimes called multi layer packaging.  

• Because laminated bags are made from multi layers, they provide excellent protection for your product both in terms of strength and longevity. 

     o Strength: Laminated bags are thicker than other bags so they don’t break as easily. They are the best option if you want to a bag that does not break easily. Other bags are usually one or two layers. 

     o Longevity: Laminated bags have high barrier properties which protects the freshness of your products. 

• Laminated bags cost more but are worth it because of their strength and longevity. If you are unsure what type of bag to use, please contact our packaging experts for advice. 

Q. Why don’t you call laminated bags plastic bags? 

• In general, plastic bags are polyethylene bags which are not as strong and do not have the high barrier properties of laminated bags. 

Q. What is gravure printed flexible packaging? 

• It’s a term used to describe the process of printing the highest quality flexible packaging.
