Seals:
- Peelable seals allow the customer to easily remove the film without leaving residue on the rim.
- Weld seals are more firmly sealed to the edge of the package and require cutting or tearing the lid to remove it.

Skin film benefits:

- Eco-friendly – the gold boards with adherent film can be disposed of simply as waste paper.
- Cost effective due to its minimal use of materials. No needs for soaker pads or bone guards.
- Can be sealed using a thermoformer but works just as well with only a tray sealer.
- Film seals so tightly against the product that nearly all oxygen is removed, and gas, required for MAP packaging, is unnecessary.
MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) benefits:
Extends the shelf life and preserves the freshness without the use of preservatives or chemical additives. MAP does this by using a mixture of pure oxygen, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen to fill the food package.
